International Travel Scheme for Research Scholars of HBNI

A scheme called “International Travel Scheme for Research Scholars of HBNI” has been instituted to provide financial support to the students registered in the Ph.D. programme of HBNI to attend international conferences abroad. Under it, a student enrolled in the Ph.D. programme of HBNI may be provided financial support of up to *Rs. 80,000/- (Rs. Eighty thousand) to meet part his/her expenses towards registration, local hospitality and travel to attend an international conference abroad once during his/her Ph.D. tenure  provided the student meets the following criteria:

(i)  He/She must have his/her paper accepted for oral or poster presentation in the conference.

(ii) The quality of the paper and the conference should be ascertained by the student’s Doctoral Committee to be of high quality.

(iii) The participation of the student in the conference should have the approval of the competent authority in the Constituent Institution (CI) in which the he/she is enrolled.

 The financial support under this scheme would be restricted to those who are enrolled with HBNI as Research Scholars and get stipend and will not be available to those research scholars who are also employees and are getting salaries.
